Google Chat
Watch the video below to see how to add Google Chat as a stand alone program to your computer. This is on a Mac but the Windows version is very similar.
Once you have opened Google Chat and see the Icon in the Doc on the right CLICK and DRAG the icon into the Doc on the Left. This will put it permanently into your Doc.
Change Your Notification Settings
You will need to change some notification settings on your Mac to make sure you get the notifications from Google Chat. Watch the video below that Andrew recorded showing how to change the settings.
Google Chat for Your SmartPhone
Google Meet
Follow the step by step instructions below to get your Google Meet Link. Once you have you link copied make sure to save it to your computer someplace. Also, send the link info to [email protected] as well as [email protected] so that support has your link.
Links created through Google Calendar, or through the Google Meet website, typically expire 90 days after the last time they were used. If you use the link within that 90-day period, the expiration date resets. So, please make sure you are using this Google Meet link at least once every 90 days so it won’t expire.
1 – In Chrome go to Google.com and click the Google Menu icon in the upper right corner. Its the one that looks like 9 square dots.
Find the Google Meet Icon and click on it.
2 – Find the New Meeting button in the middle of the screen and click on it.
3 – Click on the Create A Meeting for Later Link.
4 – Click the Copy Icon next to the meeting info. This will give you all of the info for you meeting. Please send to Carrie and Support so they have the info. Also paste this info into your notes on your computer or a word doc. Somplace you will have it available when needed. Please read the info at the top about link expiration!! This is important!!
To add a dedicated Google Meet icon to your Doc click the Computer Icon in the URL Bar at the top of the screen. Then click the Install Button that pops up. It will add the dedicated app to your computer. Once Google Meet opens up make sure to drag it’s icon from the right to the left in your doc to put it there perminently.

Google Voice
Not all staff have access to Google Voice. Only coaches and other staff members that need Google Voice will have access to it. If you do not know if you have access to it check with James or Andrew.
1 – In Chrome go to Google.com and click on the Google Menu in the upper right corner. It looks like 9 black dots. Find the Google Voice icon and click it.
2 – Get Started. Here you will see the Google Voice phone number that has been assigned to you. Write it down someplace. This is the number you can use to have people call you directly. Click the Next Button
3 – Ignore the info on this page. Just hit the Confirm Button.
4 – If you want you can link your Google Voice number to your cell phone number but we suggest just Skipping. Click Skip.
5 – You are now ready to Get Started. Click the Get Started button.
6 – The first time on this page you should get a popup in blue about getting ready for the call. Click the Audio Settings button to check your settings.
7 – One the Mac click the Allow While Visiting This Site button. This will allow Chrome to access your mic and speakers.
8 – Verify that your Defauly Mic, Ringing and Speakers settings are correct for whatever device you are using for each.
To add a Google Voice Dedicated App to your computer click the Computer Icon in the URL Bar while in Google Voice. The click the Install button that comes up. It will install and open the Google Voice App. Once the app is in your doc click and drag it to the left to add it to your doc perminently.
